All vessels are manufactured from S.S. 316 grade stainless steel sheets, ensuring cGMP-compliant construction. Each vessel is jacketed, insulated, cladded, and equipped with a suitable agitator assembly. Wax is melted in the Wax Melting Vessel, while water is heated in the Water Heating Vessel. Both wax and water are automatically transferred into the manufacturing vessel through a vacuum process. In the manufacturing vessel, wax and water are homogenized to create a uniform emulsion and cooled by passing chilled water into the jacket of the manufacturing vessel. After the emulsion is formed, active ingredients, colors, etc., are added and thoroughly mixed and homogenized. Subsequently, necessary perfume is added in the case of cosmetics or wherever required. The ointment/cream is then ready. Using a bump pump, the product is transferred into the storage vessel. From the storage vessel, it is automatically transferred into the filling machine through a metering pump. The flow rate of the metering pump can be set according to the speed and capacity of your tube-filling machine.

Normally, these vessels are cylindrical with either hemispherical or dished bottoms, and they have loose-type top lids. In some cases, the top is also sealed by dished ends if clients demand it. The vessels are jacketed with either steam or electric heating according to clients’ requirements. A propeller-type agitator is provided from the top and driven by a suitable HP motor based on the vessel’s capacity. Bottom-entry agitators are provided for closed-type vessels. Water is heated in the vessel between 60 – 80°C as the process demands and then melted. This heated water is later transferred into the manufacturing vessel. The vessel has an outlet valve fitted with DIN fittings for the connection of a suitable pipeline. A 100 mesh conical filter is provided for the filtration of water to remove any impurities.
The manufacturing vessel is a cylindrical structure with either a hemispherical or dished bottom. The top of the vessel is also a dished end, and a silicon gasket is placed between the vessel and the top lid. The manufacturing vessel is equipped with an agitator assembly, consisting of a bottom-entry homogenizer and a top dual-speed anchor agitator. Hydraulic lifting of the top lid is available in the manufacturing vessel for cleaning purposes. Various features such as suitable nozzles, manholes, valves, etc., are incorporated into all the vessels. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with a jacket that can be used for both heating and cooling, although in the manufacturing vessel, cooling is the primary function. The manufacturing vessel is capable of being subjected to a full vacuum.

Storage vessel is simple vessel used to store ointments and creams etc. it is cylindrical type of vessel with conical bottom. Bottom valve is provided with din fittings to facilitate the pipeline connection. It is provided with loose top lid.

A bump pump is a specially designed pump, custom-built according to the capacity and requirements of the ointment plant. Its purpose is to transfer ointment from the manufacturing vessel to the storage vessel. The RPM (revolutions per minute) of the pump varies based on the viscosity of the ointment/cream. All contact parts are made of S.S. 316 quality stainless steel. The metering pump, also known as a positive displacement pump, is another specially designed pump. It is employed to transfer ointment/cream from the storage vessel to the filling machine hopper. The pump features a setting wheel, allowing the user to adjust the transfer rate according to the speed and capacity of the filling machine. This adjustment prevents hopper overflow and enables complete automatic transfer. Similar to the bump pump, the metering pump also has S.S. 316 contact parts. Typically, the vacuum pump of suitable capacity is within the client’s scope or as specified. This pump is located in the utility section, and the connection is established from the main vessel to the pump. The operation of this pump is detailed in the control panel.
Interconnecting pipeline is provided for the plant as per the layout of the clients room size. All pipelines are electropolished from inside and outside. All joints are DIN standards quick openable types.
All vessels have CIP/ SIP nozzles & conical filters are provided at the discharge of the vessels. Entire plant is fully automatic and interconnected by suitable pipeline & requires only one operator for all the operations. Suitable working platform is provided for cleaning and maintainence. An integrated control panel fully automatic controlled by a PLC is provided. Inline homogenisers are also provided for specific applications or where height constraints are there. Working platform made out of S.S. 304 is also provided for ease in working/ cleaning / operations etc.
One pump required transferring the material from Mixing Vessel to the Storage Vessel & another pump required to transfer the material from storage vessel to the hopper of Ointment Filling M/c.

Working platform made out of SS304 & top of the platform will be covered with aluminium checkered plate for the safe movement of the operator. Platform will be provided with one staircase. Railing made of SS304 will be provided at the border of the platform for safety.

Control panel is provided with all the starters, overload relays, push buttons, lamps, ckt breakers etc. all hardware required for automatic operation of the ointment plant is provided in the control panel.
